For 100 years Christians have assembled near this spot to worship God and to serve the community in the name of Jesus Christ. In 1903, a number of faculty and students with some neighbors of the newly located Nashville Bible School began the congregation. For 50 years the church met first in Harding Hall and later in Alumni Auditorium on the campus of David Lipscomb College. On Sunday morning, October 10, 1954, the congregation met for the first time in the current building which has now been in service for 55 years.

Through the help, hard work and generosity of many church members our facilities have just recently been brought up to date. Some of these projects include the new Chumley Hall, the Youth and University rooms, new paint and flooring in the classrooms, hallways and front foyer, landscaping, Power Point presentation systems and much more.
