Ministers and Staff

Scott Sager serves as our Preaching Minister. Scott, Suzanne, Anna and Will Sager moved to Nashville in 2011 when Scott joined the Lipscomb University team as Vice President for Church Services. Before this, they enjoyed a 15 year stint with Scott preaching at the Preston Road Church of Christ in Dallas. Scott completed his doctorate in Evangelism from Southern Methodist University where his project thesis, “A Time to Heal” was recognized by SMU as outstanding work. Prior to moving to Dallas, Scott was the Campus Minister at the University of Texas. He is an ACU alumnus with an undergraduate degree in Business Management and was recognized as ACU Honor Man in 1987. In graduate school, he studied for a semester in Jerusalem while completing his M.Div. with a focus upon preaching and teaching.

Scott Tillman is our outreach minister and has served here since September of 2003.  He was married to Michelle on December 18, 1993.  He is originally from Guntersville, AL.  Prior to serving as the outreach minister, he served as the youth minister at Granny White, and he served as the youth minister for the Hillsboro Church of Christ from 1994-2003.  Scott is not just an outreach minister, he is also a teacher and the head football coach for Lipscomb Academy.  He enjoys weight lifting, coaching, fishing, and watching movies.  Scott and Michelle have two children, Audrey Beth and Bo.


Jeff Wilson is our Family Life Minister.  Jeff started working at Granny White in 2004 as the College Minister.  Jeff is originally from Columbia, TN.  He married to Mary Beth on June 26, 1999, and they have three children, Morgan, Julia, and Abbey.  Jeff has worn many different hats - he served as the Sewell Hall Dorm Director at Lipscomb, the Associate Dean of Students at Lipscomb, and now works as the Director of Plant and Retail Services at Lipscomb alongside his job as our Family Life Minister.  Jeff is also a talented worship leader, having served as one for the Eastside Church of Christ in Columbia, TN and at the Main Street Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant, TN.  In his spare time he enjoys kayaking, fishing, and camping.


James Lane serves as our youth Minister. James and Whitney moved to the Granny White family in July 2014,  right after celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary. James is originally from Cookevlle, TN and Whitney is from Pigeon Forge, TN. They meet at Freed Hardeman University.  Prior to working with our youth here, James graduated from Freed Hardeman and then served for  six years at the Willow Avenue Congregation in Cookeville, TN. He enjoys anything  outdoors, and loves to be surrounded by God’s creation.

 

Katelyn Manchester serves as our Children's Education Coordinator and Parent's Day Out Director. After graduating from Harding University with a degree in Marketing in the Spring of 2016, she began her work with GW in August of 2016. 

Kathy Jarrell is our office administrator.  She started working at Granny White in 1998.  Prior to working for Granny White, she was a needlework instructor for Castner Knott, secretary to the Director of Teacher Education at Lipscomb, Student Records Assistant for the Vanderbilt College of Arts and Science, and later on for the Vanderbilt Career Center, and the Registrar Assistant and Format Editor for the Vanderbilt Graudate School.  She was married in 1972 to Don Jarrell, and they have one son, Tracy, who is married to Meredyth and one grandson born in February 2010.  She loves taking care of her grandson Jack, caring for her two horses, gardening, and reading


JoAnn Hutchinson is part of our office staff and serves as our bookkeeper.  She started working for us in October of 2016.  JoAnn and her family have been part of the GW family for many years.
